This week in government overreach in our once-small town, Sedona’s overpaid bureaucrats presented a proposed $95 million budget for fiscal year 2027—including two proposed new staff positions in spite of council’s having directed them in December to can any additions of personnel for the moment. Revenues for the fiscal year are expected to be $68.5 million.
On Tuesday, that gang calling themselves the Sedona city council approved a $151,900 allocation for summer tourism non-marketing to help kill businesses in this town by offending and micromanaging potential customers. Discussions indicated that the summer marketing program will exclusively target individuals with incomes of $150,000 and up.
In spite of further complaints presented to council about the misconduct of the Sedona paramilitary, the city’s consultants—former police chiefs from California, forsooth—who are preparing the Sedona paramilitary’s new strategic plan indicated on Thursday that they have no intention of recommending the firing of Comrade Foley.
