Concerned Sedona resident – Lina Rueda
Non-partisan City Council event at the library on Thursday, May 14
My experience…
OK, so I don’t want Dunn, Fultz or Hauserman in office. I hoped that I would come up with a question that I hadn’t thought of before or a new question that needed an answer. None came up because the votes they made in the development of Sedona within the positions they currently held, already answered them.
So it turned out that amongst other questions we did manage to ask all three about multi-use sidewalks, and the debauchery of tearing up Shelby; destroying established trees, bushes and landscape. Our opposition in how they believe these multi sidewalks are being done for safety. Of all candidates, they should have been solid in one answer, yet, everyone of them had a different answer.
For them, it was unfortunate that they had Donna Joy sitting at the table with us and for us it was a good thing. She knows a lot about city politics and especially Sedona City government flaws and faux pas and yep, we all knew about proven behind the doors ethics of how this group views their residents with no real accountability.
They really just didn’t offer much and from that I learned something too!
#DonewithDunn – when she sat at our table and we all went quiet… We had nothing to say to her. It was an awkward silence for about three seconds that seemed like 30 seconds. I voted for her when she first ran (huge mistake) and she failed to meet the points she ran on… in my opinion. I won’t make that mistake again.
Vote with your core values! Vote for a balanced relationship with our city government! Vote Rich Gay, Jean Buillet and Lita Boyd for Sedona City Council
#FinishedWithFultz- I asked him about how he would take steps to create more transparency with City Council for our residence. He blamed the website. the website needs to be redone… Again.
I also asked him how he was going to prevent another debacle of negative and insulting emails about the city residents. This was the email thread, where the City Council participated with city employees and private residence in speaking negatively of city residents who opposed them. I told Fultz that I had not seen an apology to the city residents who were affected by the emails included on this Red Rock News article. This exposé was needed and I am glad that Bill Noonan had it published. It’s not about the name calling, and the negative verbiage of these emails, it’s about the principle and ethics of what happens behind closed doors in our city government. I asked Fultz if the city had made a public apology. I had not seen one. Fultz responded that he “made good” with Bill Noonan. Like I was going to accept that answer.
((Bill, I’m glad that he did speak to you))
But Fultz, how about the rest of us? Yeah… exactly. Firing someone to take the fall does not limit the responsibility to that one person. The fact that it was allowed it to happen, tells me the city government has zero respect for its community. Let’s get integrity and ethics back on track and vote Henry Silbiger for Mayor of Sedona!
#HeckNoWithHauserman – So I get that Hauserman was coaching before this meeting, I’ll just say his attire didn’t help him.
We spoke mostly about multi-use sidewalks. I can tell he is not going to do well with opposition coming his way. Oh boy! It does make me question his coaching abilities in uniting his team to win. Maybe he does well coaching, I don’t know.
My dad was a manager/coach for for 15 years or more little leaguers … His motto was “bring your best – do your best”. Well… to me Hauserman did neither and he was not pleasant in any sense of the word. I don’t believe he took our questions seriously. And acted like he was the know-all on how these multi-use sidewalks work, while he in the same breath, stated that he never rode them because he rides “too fast”.
He made the mistake of challenging Donna Joy and her the use of these paths. He got an earful. If Haiserman cannot handle a table of about 8 of us at one point, I don’t believe that he would bring much to the city council table. To me, he only represented another level of arrogance that would only encumber Sedona’s future. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say if he’s great at coaching, then perhaps Hauserman should stick to football lame 🏈 and leave the City Council lane for those who can handle not just a table, but a room full of people who have questions and concerns.
Hauserman seems like someone who just wants to be heard…👎🏼
However, If you want to be heard, 👍🏼 please Vote Jean Bulliet, Lita Boyd, Rich Gay for Sedona City Council

Thanks Lina. I agree with 100%. I felt that Dunn, Fultz, and Hauserman were the three Stooges and referred to them as dead heads.
As far as the shared paths none of them has used them to ride a bike and or used them in a shared manner.
Hauserman spoke negatively, Arrogant. And I believe he actually said something similar to That I was only one person, and he didn’t need to listen to me. Hauserman didn’t know that shared pathways included BIKES! “shared-use pathways that are used by bicyclists, walkers, hikers, runners, and other users for both recreation and transportation.”
Fultz knows that getting a request for emails is a very lengthy and tedious process. Public request for emails. Are extensive very time consuming. You must pull up each email separately. And it’s not easy to find the content all the time. If it wasn’t for Bill Noonan nobody would have found these emails. City Hall and our elected officials never expected to be caught.
All had that arrogant tone.
All three got 3 strikes out!
However, I was impressed with Henry Silbiger, Jean Bulliet, Lita Boyd, Rich Gay they all gracefully answered our questions in a respectful informed matter.
Vote for change:
Vote for Henry Silbiger, Jean Bulliet, Lita Boyd, Rich Gay
